VANOS S.A. at the TeamUP project Usability Tests

🚀 Exciting week at the TeamUP project Usability Tests!

From 23-27 February, the TeamUP project consortium gathered at Campus Vesta in Ranst, Belgium for the project’s Usability Tests (UT), bringing together over 90 participants from 7 countries, including researchers, technology providers, firefighters, police, civil protection units, military personnel, private security, and medics.

Our team proudly showcased the Fast Deployable Mass Decontamination (FDMD) system, a compact, suitcase-sized, inflatable decontamination tunnel. The usability test aimed to allow end users to interact with the system firsthand, providing valuable feedback to guide the future development of this critical tool.

The week-long event highlighted the journey of innovation from proof-of-concept to lab validation and operational deployment, highlighting the importance of testing technologies in realistic settings. Participants evaluated the systems in a safe but operationally relevant environment, offering insights that will shape enhancements in usability, efficiency, and operational readiness.

A big thank you to Campus Vesta and Gunther F. Dauwen for organizing and hosting this impactful event, and to all participants whose contributions made the week a success.

Moments like these remind us that collaboration across sectors is key to driving forward technologies that save lives and protect communities.
