It has been a great pleasure to participate at the Research and Innovation Symposium for European Security and Defence (RISE-SD 2024) in Chalkidiki, Greece, on the 16th and 17th of October.

At VANOS’s dedicated booth, we showcased our company’s R&D capabilities alongside innovative European projects. We also had the opportunity to meet with esteemed partners and the R&D Community and exchange ideas on Fighting Crime and Terrorism, Disaster and Crisis Management, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Cybersecurity and Border Management Research.

Moreover, the event featured engaging panels and workshops led by experts, European Commission officers, and key representatives from top R&D projects.

10-years VANOS Employees’ Blood Bank

On October 1st, VANOS S.A. hosted its second bi-annual blood donation event at our headquarters in Piraeus.

As we mark the 10th Anniversary of our Employee Blood Bank, established in 2014, we are proud of the consistent efforts and contribution of our dedicated team.

Our Defence & Public Safety Business Advisor, Mr. Konstantinos Ntetsikas, and Safety Consultant, Mr. Vasileios Papadopoulos, have successfully completed the training program at Cristanini Headquarters in Italy.

VANOS S.A., which is the sole distributor for Cristanini’s CBRN Decontamination Systems in Greece and Cyprus, visited the premises of Cristanini SpA from 30/07/2024 to 03/08/2024 and was trained in the use of the CBRN SANIJET C. 921 decontamination machine and in general the safety solutions offered.

This holistic solution is entrusted to our hands-on experience, based in our “Service Center”, which is now Certified for the Service, Calibration & Repair of all SCBA equipment.

Elevating Maritime Research: VANOS S.A. Hosts Isola Project’s Grand Finale

We are thrilled to have hosted and actively participated in the final demonstration of the Horizon 2020 ISOLA project (GA: 883302, www.isola-project.eu), held at our premises from the 22nd to the 30th of April. The event was an opportunity to witness the integration of innovative technologies and solutions aimed at enhancing security onboard passenger ships, during their lifecycle voyages. These innovations support Ship Security Officers and Crew in performing their duties efficiently, particularly in augmenting the Ship Security Plan and other SOLAS provisions (ISPS Code). We extend our gratitude to all participants for their dedication during the ISOLA Project trials and eagerly anticipate future collaborations to advance maritime security and safety standards.

VANOS S.A. proud founding member of the Hellenic Shipyards Association

From the very beginning, our company embraced the vision of creating the Hellenic Shipyards Association and consists of one of its proud founding members.

The recent revival of the ship-building and ship-constructing industry in Greece was the topic of the 1st Conference of the newly established Association of Hellenic Shipyards (“Ένωση Ελληνικών Ναυπηγείων”).

VANOS S.A. sponsored and actively participated to the Association’s 1st Conference, which took place on Tuesday, December 19th, at the Athenaum Intercontinental Hotel and was attended by representatives of the Greek government, prestigious maritime organizations and companies of the broader maritime cluster.

VANOS S.A. SUPPORTED THE 1ST HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE (HEAT) IN GREECE

VANOS S.A. undertook the grand sponsorship of the Hostile Environment Awareness Pivotal Training Course (HEAT), which was held for the first time in Greece.

The pivotal training program, to which Mr. Emmanuel Vassilopoulos – COO & Vice President of VANOS S.A. participated as a trainee, took place during 13-17/11/2023 in Kilkis, and was organized by the Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC), in collaboration with Meducation – International Medical Training Institute specializing in Emergency Prehospital Care and First Aid.

The main purpose of the course was to improve the trainees’ awareness of the multiple threats that may be encountered in hostile environments and to provide ways to deal with hazards and survive under any conditions in the field.
